Guerrilla Marketing Campaign for Chronicle

20th Century Fox hired ad firm Thinkmodo to launch three human-shaped remote control aircraft over New York City as a viral marketing campaign for the new movie Chronicle. Chronicle tells the story of three high school friends who gain superpowers after making an incredible discovery...

Perhaps you've seen some of Thinkmodo's previous work: Like the online self-promotional marriage proposal hoax (set to "Stand By Me") from October 2010 or iPad Head Girl, a summer 2011 stunt to get people to buy Cosmo for Guys, an iPad version of Cosmopolitan for men.

Thanks to UCF student and marketing whiz, Jeph Alexander, for the link.
